Ingredients
- 1 cup Oats (gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup Almonds
- 1/2 cup Onion, Chopped
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 2 whole Slices Of Toasted Gluten Free Bread, Broken into Pieces
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons Flax Seeds
- 1/4 cups Fresh Coriander
- 1/2 cups Sunflower Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Tamari (if gluten free) or soy sauce is ok too if not
- 1 cup Grated Carrots
- 1 cup Mashed (Canned Or Cooked) Black Beans
Method
- Heat the oven at 180 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with baking paper.
- In a food processor or blender, grind the oats until fine, then add the almonds. Pulse the almonds until chopped. Add the rest of the ingredients in order and process until mixed well OR, transfer to a bowl and hand mix the remaining ingredients with a strong spoon or your (clean) hands.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each into a patty with your hands.
- Carefully set and align the patties on the baking tray. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Serve.
TIP: These are great on their own, but you can make them a burger of your own flavour with a bun and some salads and sauce of your choice.
