OUR WHY
Able! Digital Wellness started because our Founder Scott loves his newphew Dan, and wasn’t going to wait around for him to become another statistic.
People with disability in Australia have some of the worse health outcomes in the country, and for people needing residential assistance – like Support Independent Living, Specialised Disability Accommodation – the outcomes are even worse. In. world with literally millions of health apps, why are there so few for the people who need it most?
OUR MISSION
Traditionally we worked with the NDIS providers, giving them the tools to provide healthier living options to their clients but saw that we were limiting who could access our platform. Our mission is to make health and wellness as accessible as possible, to as many people as possible, as far and wide as possible.
To do this, we needed to change our thinking and we did, our new brand comes with renewed passion, purpose and direction as the one-stop shop for people with disability looking to improve their health and wellness.
OUR VISION FOR aBLE
We’re not a finished product (because that’s impossible), but we’re pretty awesome and always listening and improving our offering. Our vision is for Able! to become THE health and wellness platform for people with disability around Australia and the world. For it to be a place where people can find community, answers, support and all the resources they need to take charge of their health and live life better. Our goals are;
- To maximsie the digital accessibility of the platform.
- Cover every single exercise niche, so everyone can find their fit.
- Improve health literacy and enthusiasm amongst our users.
- Create a community of Able! champions who inspire each other.
