Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons kosher or just sea salt
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 (450g) bag frozen edamame, in the pod
Method
- Heat the salt, chili powder, and pepper flakes in a small dry skillet or pan over medium heat, stirring until hot and aromatic – about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and crumble in the oregano (or sprinkle if it’s crushed already). Place in a bowl and set aside.
- Boil the edamame pods until tender for about 8 minutes in a pot of salted water with enough water to make sure all pods can be submerged.
- Drain in a colander and pat dry. Toss the edamame pods with the chilli-salt and serve warm.
